French is the second most widely spoken language in today’s world. It is the official language in 29 countries and is spoken in all continents of the world. The French language is spoken by more than  274 speakers and is an official language of the United Nations and the European Union.

French is taught from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4. At Year 11, the students sit for International GCSE French, offered by Edexcel. Students who learn French at Potterhouse are able to benefit from an enthusiastic faculty.

Apart from timetabled lessons in class, the students are also taken through individualised lessons in areas of their weakness.
The International GCSE curriculum is taught from Key Stage 3 and students focus on strengthening their listening, speaking, writing and comprehension skills. The final exams at O-Level comprise of 3 papers:

  1. Listening Examinations
  2. Reading and Writing
  3. Oral Examination
